Hayward City Manager Kelly McAdoo has announced a series of steps to limit person-to-person contact and potential exposure to the COVID-19 Omicron variant. More information can be found on the City’s website, www.hayward-ca.gov

Hayward Executive Airport remains open 24-hours a day, 7-days a week for aircraft operations. The airport’s two fixed-base operators, APP Jet Center and Meridian Hayward, are open as are many of the other 38 commercial providers. However, please call ahead to confirm the customer service hours currently in effect.

Regarding the airport administration building and the City’s airport administration office:

  • The City’s administrative office is not accessible on Fridays, but a reduced number of administrative staff on duty can be reached by a landline telephone located on the podium just outside of the interior office door during regular business hours, 0800 to 1700 Local Time on Fridays. You may also contact the staff by phone at
    510-293-8678.
  • Face coverings are required when in public areas and inside the Airport Administration Building.
  • The airside door will remain open to tenants 7-days a week, from 0800 to 2130 Local Time, to provide access to restrooms, the flight planning room, and the pilot lounge.
  • The landside door will be closed on Fridays through the end of January.
  • The meeting room will remain closed and all meetings are cancelled.
  • Extra steps are being taken to clean surfaces in the building.
  • Rental payments may be placed in the mailbox located on the Airport Administration Building facing the parking lot, or in the interior lockbox near the door to the administration office (accessible via the airside door), or sent by U.S. Mail.
