The City of Hayward is served by several excellent public transit services. These include AC Transit's Bus services on city streets, Bay Area Rapid Transit's light rail service, and Amtrak regional and national train service. 511.org, a partnership of the California Highway Patrol, CalTrans, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, provides information about local traffic conditions, public trasportation options and more.
