Teach someone to read...Change a life!
Literacy is the key to independence, self-sufficiency and pride. Help empower someone by providing them with the tools needed to get back on track. A few hours a week can change someone's life - and your life, too.
Literacy Plus, Hayward Public Library's adult literacy program, will conduct a free training for new volunteer tutors. Volunteers must attend a New Tutor Information Session, followed by a Tutor Training class.
Bring or mail your completed Application to the Main Hayward Library, 835 C Street, Hayward 94541. For additional information, visit the Literacy Plus web site or the Library News & Events blog, or enter a Volunteering at the Library Service Request.
