The City Council adopts a budget for all city services for each fiscal year (July 1 through June 30).

During budget preparations, the City Council holds budget work sessions in May or June, which are open to the public. The draft budget is also scheduled for a public hearing in June at a City Council meeting, and adopted at the following City Council meeting.
