“Hayward Through Our Eyes”
Exhibit now on display at Weekes Branch Library.
Teens in Hayward are expressing themselves with Photos and Writing this summer. They are part of 2009’s “Hayward Through Our Eyes” teen photo & writing program. The 2nd year of this program took place at both the Main Library in downtown Hayward and the Weekes Branch Library in South Hayward.

Stand up and get your voice heard. Join the Teen Advisory Group as we plan programs, decide the teen collection and much more. Get volunteer hours and have a say in what the library does for teens. Georgette Heyer’s mystery is a wonderful example of a classic British country house mystery. Written in 1939, it features the superlatively analytical Inspector Hemingway who is confronted by a seemingly impossible murder, no one was near the murder weapon at the time the shot was fired! All the various participants on the scene are suspicious and then there’s the blackmail plot……..

Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta — Abandoned by her drug-addicted mother at the age of eleven, high school student Taylor Markham struggles with her identity, family history and role
in the secret territory wars at a boarding school in Australia.
