Hayward is proud of the companies that make up its diverse business community. Once a month, the City recognizes a business through the Business Recognition Awards program. This program publicly acknowledges businesses that have contributed in a unique way to the economic well-being of the City of Hayward. Program Guidelines

In order to qualify for an award, a business needs to meet one of the following requirements:

Major tax generator

Proven longevity in Hayward

Major employer

Significant business growth within a year's time

Significant support to Hayward community

Innovative company – (i.e. sustainable business practices or innovative technology)
