There are many resources The Earthquake Country Alliance has worked with experts in earthquake science, preparedness, and mitigation to develop this step-by-step guide for staying safe before, during, and after an earthquake.  They also have booklet for printing.

FEMA also has an extensive resource list on how to prepare your home, yourself, and others.  What to do during the earthquake, and immediately after.

The USGS provides puzzles and games including informational links for kids 7 to 18 years old.

Not yet. But the USGS site under their earthquake hazards program can provide statistics, real-time notifications, feeds, and web services.  You can also download an article to learn more about the potential hazards of a modern-day earthquake on the Hayward fault.
