Employee and Labor Relations
The Director serves as the Chief Negotiator for the City with all employee groups. In addition, the Human Resources team, in coordination with the Finance Department, provides essential and on-going support to the City Manager during contract negotiations including costing of contracts, development of contract language, high level analytical support, and process coordination. The Department is also responsible for performance management oversight, consultant support for matters related to employee discipline, and management support for matters related to the grievance process.
