The City Council Commercial Center Improvement Committee (CCCCIC) reviews specified commercial development projects with the primary purpose of suggesting architectural, landscaping and site improvements to ensure that new projects and the renovation of existing shopping centers are of high quality. The projects reviewed by the CCCCIC include:
- Proposed significant alterations or additions to existing shopping centers;
- New shopping centers;
- Commercial retail projects that could have a significant effect on a commercial area, shopping center, businesses or adjacent residential area;
- Commercial retail projects in a significant location, such as a City entry, prominent intersection or other highly-visible site;
- Commercial projects that could generate a significant traffic impact; and
- Drive-through restaurants.
